According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 630 lives are lost daily in our nation due to drug and alcohol use. This is not just a national problem – overdose deaths are increasing in Indiana and Adams County as well.
Traditional means of addressing the problem – which include incarceration, detox centers, and treatment programs – have been largely unsuccessful in reducing substance abuse. Many who struggle with addiction find themselves caught in an endless cycle of treatment, sobriety, and relapse. They need resources, education and support to get them back on their feet to break the cycle and help them to stay sober.
At Crossroads Community, our recovery services focus on holistic recovery, addressing not only the physical addiction, but the emotional, mental, financial, and spiritual effects of substance abuse and mental health issues.
By partnering with local agencies like Adams County Community Corrections, the Mental Health Problem Solving Court, the Adams County Sheriff Department, Adams County Probation & Parole, Adams Behavioral Health, Parkview Health, and the Adams County Department of Child Services, we can provide services to clients to help them in their journey from justice system involvement to permanent housing in the community.
